In the beginning, I was born. And there was much lamenting. Things went downhill from there. At the tender age of nine, I was introduced to role-playing games. My ninth birthday party, actually. We played the original Castle Ravenloft adventure. I played a Barbarian and I seem to recall dying three times over the course of the night's gaming. They kept resurrecting me because no one else was playing a fighter-type and I made a good wall to hide behind. That birthday was over twenty-two years ago now, and I've played many, many game systems since then. D6 is the fastest, easiest, and most fun that I have encountered. Star Wars is a setting of nearly unlimited possibilities. The combination of the two is a match made in a Really Cool Place", and thus it should be preserved. It is fitting that Wizards of the Coast is based in Seattle so close to Microsoft, as D20 is undoubtedly the Windows of RPGs.
