| The Mrissi of the planet Mrisst, in the GaTir system, had been subjugated by the Empire for decades. They are small, avian-decended creatures who lost the power of flight millennia ago. They have a light covering of feathers and small vestigial wings protrude from their backs. They have small beaks and round, piercing eyes. The Mrissi operate several respected universities which cater to those students who have the aptitude for advanced studies yet cannot afford the most famous and prestigious galactic universities. Mrissi tend to be scholars and administrators, catering to the universities' clientele. The Mrissi cultures are known for radical (but peacful) political views, though they have been a bit subdued under the watchful Imperial eye. | |
