Special Abilities:
Flight: Vingelic are capable of flight in any gravity category except zero-gee. On planets with a light gravity, they can fly twice what they can on planets with a standard gravity while one planets with a heavy gravity they can only fly half what they can on planets with a standard gravity.

How fast a Vingelic can move depends on their age age, typically the older they are the faster they will fly. As a Vingelic grows older they practice at least once a week on increasing their speed until they reach the next level. The youngest Vingelics are unable to fly as their wings are too small and their flight muscles too weak. As they grow they spend time flapping their little wings, building up the strength in their flight muscles while their wings grow towards a size that will one day allow them to fly. By the time their four and a half their able to hover about a foot of the ground for a minute a day.

The following list gives the speed for the various age groups as it is on planets with a standard gravity: Newborn to 4 - 0/0 (flying), 5 to 7 - 2/4 (flying), 8 to 12 - 4/6 (flying), 13 to 17 - 8/10 (flying), 18 to 50 - 16/18 (flying), 51 to 75 - 15/17 (flying), 76+ - 14/16 (flying)

Improvement: Vingelics can improve their skills, specializations, and attributes at half the cost and training time others require for the same thing. The same holds true for learning new skills, specializations, and advanced skills.
Maximum Attribute: Vingelics can only raise their attributes to a maximum of 10D. As a result they can not raise their skill dice beyond 10D.
Teaching: Vingelic are natural born teachers, always looking to help others improve themselves. And they are able to do so faster than most other teachers while charging less. While it normally takes one day for every Character Point spent to improve a skill while training with a teacher, it takes two days less at a cost of one less Character Point. However, rather than determine training time based on the cost of training with a Vingelic, training time is based on the normal cost for training to improve what the character is improving.

Example: Talik is looking to improve his blaster skill from 4D to 4D+1 and has a Vingelic as a teacher. With another teacher it would cost him four Character Points and take four days to finish training. However, his Vingelic teacher is only charging three Caracter Points. But because the training time is based on training with a normal teacher, rather than subtracting two days from the Character points spent training with the Vingelic, the two days are subtracted from the number before the “D”. Because Talik currently has 4D in his blaster skill, it will only take him two days of training to improve to 4D+1.

Special Skills:
Flight: Time to use: One round. This is the skill used for flying.

Story Factors:
Mistaken Identity: Because they appear human and their wings are transparent almost to the point of being invisible, Vingelics are often mistaken to be humans. Many Vingelic have even taken to covering their wings to further hide their true identity when out in public.
Rare: Even without being mistaken for humans, actually finding a Vingelic in the galaxy is rare. Unlike other species who tend not to leave their home planet, thus making the sight of members of their species in the galaxy a rare one, the rarity of seeing a Vingelic in the galaxy is due to their population. At one time it was fairly common to see a Vingelic in puplic in many parts of the galaxy. But due to an epidemic that swept across their homeworld thousand of years ago, the Vingelic were virtually wiped out. Only those Vingelic who were off the planet, about two thousand, survived. Today, it is estimated there are a total of eight thousand Vingelic.
