| True Mandalorians are incredibly rare with the last known outpost of them on Concord Dawn. These warriors were once, many thousands of years ago, explorers who settled on a high gravity and deadly planet that strained them to the breaking point. It was out of this that there legendary strength and combat prowess grew. Stronger and faster than normal humans, Mandalorians were soldiers unmatched by all but the Jedi and Sith. It was only after the time of Exar Kun that the Mandalorians died off as they were destroyed in the Mandalorian War that sprung up some 30 years after Kun's defeat. Since that time their numbers dwindled until all that truly remained of the Mandalorians were their ideals and training. Still acomplished soldiers and mercenaries, the Mandalorians that existed during the Rise of the Empire were, for the most part, exceptionally talented humans or near-humans. Their armor is particularly valuable as it is made with Mandalorian Iron, a mor more dense material than standard plasteel. |
