| Lia Klymo grew up on her father's inherited estate on the Wroonian homeworld of Wroona. Her father never really had that great of a fortune, but it was enough for his family to live a life of lesiure. As she grew up, she accompanied her siblings on many adventures designed to increase each of their own fortunes. But while her brothers and sisters sense of adventure faded as they reached adulthood, their babysister's only increased.
Upon reaching eighteen, Lia left home in search of the greatest adventure in her life. She found it four months later when she encountered Storm Force on a mission. It had been one of those rare missions where Zaal-abi-Malynson had not served the team as backup by piloting the Storm Front and offering it's weapons as cover fire. Zaal had been deeply concerned about this young Wroonian who clearly thought she was indestructible and able to watch Storm Force up close in the thick of things and found himself having to keep this young girl out of trouble. When the mission was over, Zaal thought he was free of the Wroonian as Storm Force left the planet.
But Zaal, and the rest of Storm Force, were in for a big surprise. Asking around, Lia found out the group of mercenaries she'd been watching was known as Storm Force. Thinking that what they did was obvious fun, she decided she wanted to join Storm Force. She traveled to Ord Mantel and let the word get out that she was looking to hire Storm Force to accomplish a mission for her. Always concerned with the groups finances, Storm One arranged to meet with her.
He was shocked when he arrived on Ord Mantel and found that Storm Force wasn't being hired for a mission but rather someone was looking to join the team. Angered by the deception, Storm One became infuriated when Lia revealed that she had absolutely no skills what so ever that could assist the team. He would have killed her then and there had he not promised Zaal he wouldn't terminate anyone unless fired upon first. But when he went to leave, Lia began to beg and plead with him. She became so annoying, preventing him from being able to leave and whining incessantly that Storm One promised her anything as long as she stopped.
Thus Lia was able to join Storm Force. But as she had no skills, Storm One informed her that she could remain only if she could find a way to become useful to the team. He had thought it a safe way to get rid of her without shedding any blood, and thus making Zaal happy that he'd done so without resorting to violence, but he hadn't expected her to actually learn skills that would help her fit in. She quickly learned how to pilot a light freighter and so could become Zaal's copilot. Yet she soon learned that she could help the team in other ways by using her feminine charms. As loath as they are to admit it, Storm One and Zaal actually like having her on the team, especially as she and Aelf Brennender can often get the team into places without Storm Force having to use brute force to do so. |
