Dehydrated Food Pack Dehydrated food packs are moistureless nutritional supplements that can be stored indefinately while occupying minimal space (a major concern on most space-faring vessels). Unfortunately, these food packs - while providing sustenance - leave much to be desired in flavor. Spacers often pack provisions of "real" food (perishable foodstuffs) to augment a vessel's rations. Ordering a disobedient crewman to subsist on these "dry packs" is a common form of punishment in the military.
