Argus Corvette
The Argus Corvette serves in the Anaran Royal Navy as a patrol and escort vessel. The ship's heavy weapons loadout epitomizes the Anaran philosophies on military equipment, sacrificing creature comforts for military equipment.

While the Argus carries 6 months of consumables, due to the stresses on the crew it is rarely deployed in long term roles. Additionally, each Argus Corvette has two crews to combat fatigue. Every 2 to 3 months the crews swap places, allowing the first crew time to relax and recouperate.

In combat the Argus acquits itself quite well despite the deficient firing controls and high-stress environment. The concussion missile tubes allow the Argus to defeat ships several times its size from range, giving it greater survivability if cut off from larger support vessels.

Due to the cost of the Argus, relatively few are in service as patrol and escort ships. The majority of Argus Corvettes have been pressed into service as support units for the larger Anaran cruisers.
