Durendell Saber The Durendell swordsmiths create some of the swords and sabers in the galaxy. During the Clone Wars they produced the Model '15 Type A Officer's Saber for the Republic military, though these swords never saw any use by Republic officers during the wars. They are highly prized due to the intricate detail work on the blades and are often used by starship captains and others who want to appear important. The year was taken from the Holonet News date in Insider 55 and occurs during the Clone Wars. The Type A Officer's Sabers were only made during that year. Gamemaster Notes: The Model '15 Type A Officer's Saber was made out of a special metal that allows the cutting edge to endure more use and punishment than normal. It remains razor sharp, even if it is used for striking any object, for 2D months before it must be sharpened. This must be rolled when the player first gets the saber unless they recived it from another player. The number of months should be recorded and if a player gives another player their saber they must also give them the number of months between sharpening periods. It takes 30 minutes to sharpen and requires a Very Easy Technical roll. Notes: The Durendell Saber has a blade length of 1 meter.
